The Perfect Gin Tonic

  • 2 oz gin
  • 5-7 cardamom pods, gently crushed
  • 6-8 juniper berries, gently crushed
  • 4 oz tonic water
  • Ice
  • Rosemary
  • A Slice of lime (optional)
  • A cucumber slice (optional)

If you love gin and tonics, then be prepared to be blown away by our "Perfect Gin Tonic" recipe.

To start, we always recommend chilling your glass. Once chilled, bring your glass back out and add ice cubes. Use plenty of ice to reduce melting; this will help enhance the flavors of your drink.

Add a fresh slice of lime and a cumber slice (wash them well).

Before adding the cardamom pods and juniper berries, gently crush them with the palm of your hand; This will help to release their aromas.

Pour your favorite gin. Always 1 part of gin and two parts of tonic.

Pour your favorite tonic - it should bubbly and cold. As you pour, keep it close to the ice. This will reduce the amount of lost gas. To make it less carbonated, stir gently for a few seconds with a spoon.

Garnish with a rosemary sprig.

Let your drink rest. It is important to let it rest about 30–40 seconds before drinking so both then gin and the tonic absorb all the flavors of the botanicals.

Cheers, and enjoy!
